I had an amazing stay! The upgraded room was like a luxury suite with two separate bedrooms. Breakfast was pleasantly varied and tasty, but the coffee could definitely improve. I'd return in a heartbeat!

The location of Golden Sand is fantastic, right in the heart of Istanbul with plenty of dining options nearby. The rooftop terrace view is stunning. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight, offering a nice variety, although the coffee quality could use some improvement. Staff were kind and helped carry our luggage to the room, which I appreciated. the triple room was disappointingly small, making it tight for space, especially with luggage. One of the rooms felt like a tight fit without adequate ventilation. I found myself sweating at night due to the lack of AC and it felt cramped enough to restrict movement. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t ideal, with some issues needing attention. Even though the view and some aspects of service were pleasant, the room's size and comfort took away from the overall experience. The breakfast room sometimes lacked adequate staffing, as options ran out quickly during peak times. I left feeling that there are better alternatives available in the area that provide more comfort for a similar price.

Breakfast options were limited, as eggs often ran out early and took time to be replenished.

We had a delightful 4-night stay at Golden Sand Hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Our room had a beautiful balcony overlooking lively restaurants, and the location was perfect for accessing local trams to explore historical sites. The daily breakfast kept us energized with a traditional Turkish spread.

When I got into the room, it definitely wasn’t the cleanest. dirt and mold made me question the housekeeping standards. The location might seem close to attractions, but the uphill trek to the main tram stop left my legs aching after a day of wandering. Not to mention, the triple room felt cramped for a family. tight enough that I had to maneuver around luggage. I lacked a safe for my valuables, which made me feel uneasy about leaving anything unattended. Found someone entering my room unannounced, which left me uneasy about privacy. luckily, nothing major went missing, but it’s just bad etiquette right?

For a hotel that advertises mini-bars, having none in my room was disappointing!!! The unpleasant odor in room 101, coupled with dirty towels, truly needs addressing. More attention to room descriptions is a must!!!
